LivePlayer 1.2

Amnis Systems (formerly known as Optivision) introduces LivePlayer 1.2, a software-only live streaming playback system that delivers desktop access to true broadcast-quality video content. LivePlayer 1.2 enables enterprises to receive, play, and record live, multi-cast and stored video content that meets both the Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG)-1 and MPEG-2 industry standards, without adding desktop PC hardware.

LivePlayer 1.2 software works with Amnis Systems' industry-leading network-attached, streaming-video products to receive and play live or stored broadcast-quality video on a Windows-compatible desktop PC. LivePlayer 1.2 supports live multicast streaming playback, minimizing enterprise bandwidth consumption during simultaneous viewing of video content by multiple users. Additionally, LivePlayer 1.2 users not only have the ability to capture and record streaming video on a local hard disk drive as it is being played live, but can view the LivePlayer video while running desktop applications in separate windows.
