Campus Pipeline, Inc. has announced the availability of the Campus Pipeline Web Platform version 3.0.1 with a fully integrated calendar server for higher education. The Campus Pipeline Enterprise Calendar seamlessly integrates with student information systems, allowing personal, academic, and extracurricular calendars to be drawn together through one easily managed productivity application. The new release also includes an address book application that exchanges information with E-Mail applications outside the Campus Pipeline Web Platform.
The Campus Pipeline Web Platform integrates higher education systems and applications to provide centralized Web access to campus information, services, and communities. Based on open standards, the Campus Pipeline Web Platform integrates with a school's choice of information systems and other applications including CARS, CMDS, Datatel, Jenzabar, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Poise, SCT, Blackboard, e-College, Prometheus, WebCT, and homegrown applications.
Co-developed with iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions (a Sun|Netscape alliance), the Campus Pipeline Enterprise Calendar combines Campus Pipeline's signature integration technology with iPlanet's Calendar Server to meet the needs of the higher education enterprise environment. This highly scalable and reliable Web-based solution for centralized scheduling facilitates collaboration and planning among all campus constituents.
In addition to the calendar feature, version 3.0.1 includes an address book import/export application that allows users to transfer address book data into and out of the Campus Pipeline Web-based E-Mail system. This new address book functionality will save students, faculty, and staff time and will increase the control they have over their contact data.
