Oracle JDeveloper provides developers with a Java application creation and deployment solution that leverages the Oracle Application Server and DB. With these tools, the developer can build, debug, and deploy Enterprise JavaBeans, automate the building of database servlets, and create and deploy Java Stored Procedures. User interface, business logic, and data access components can be developed and deployed on all three tiers of Oracle's Internet Platform.
Features of JDeveloper include support for the development of J2EE (JSP/EJB 1.1, Servlets 2.2) and XML based applications and Web services; IDE tools such as a debugger, profiler, and "CodeCoach" tools for analysis of performance/memory related problems; integrated UML modeling; team development support; and implementation of a business process development framework (Business Components for Java, BC4J) enabling the rapid deployment and updating of J2EE business applications. Additionally JDeveloper includes a built-in XML Schema editor and the ability to create Web services from Java classes, EJBs, the aforementioned Business Components, or PL/SQL procedures.
