iNet Factory is a collection of components for Java developers that allows them to build Internet communications and interactivity into their applications. The components handle the low level communications for multiple Internet protocols, allowing the developer to concentrate on the main application design. The components can be distributed as part of the developer's application royalty free, and currently include modules for Finger, FTP, HTTP, MIME, NNTP, nslookup, POP, SMTP, Telnet, and whois.
Each of the components features an API for linking it with the developer's application. They are JavaBean compliant, include event notification features for component control, and additionally feature the ability to honor a "network timeout" value specified by the developer. Individual component features include HTML and multiple attachment support (SMTP), and cookie and header management functions for HTTP.
iNet Factory is available now with a special introductory price of $249 (good through September 28, 2001). Visit the JScape Web site for further information.
