Formerly owned by Media 100 and now owned by the Discreet division of Autodesk, Inc., Cleaner 5 is a cross-platform application that allows you to encode streaming media for all the major streaming formats: Real, Windows Media, QuickTime, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MP3. In addition, Cleaner gives you the power to author Web-based interactivity into your video through our exclusive EventStream technology. Once you've encoded and authored your video you can publish directly to a streaming or conventional Web server all in one efficient workflow.

Plus a host of advanced features gives you everything you need for today's streaming media creation as well as tomorrow's innovations.

Version 5.1 added support for Sorenson Video 3, as well as updated support for Windows Media (8), RealSystem (8.5.1) and QuickTime (5). A Mac OS X build of version 5.1 is also now available.
