i.Sell 2.0

Informix Corp.'s i.Sell 2.0 is a full scale end-to-end E-Commerce package and Java application server. It consists of four components enabling the E-Business to setup and run an online store, manage personalized Web promotions, and collect and analyze customer profile information. Those four components are: Personalizer, Merchandiser, Application Server, and Developer.

The Personalizer component allows business managers to more tightly control the types of promotions and Web content delivered to specific customers. Business rules can be established allowing for the segmentation of the customer database; they are based on profile data collected from the end users themselves.

The Merchandiser component provides the tools and applications necessary to put your E-Business online; either for business to consumer or B2B interactions. The tools work in tandem with Personalizer to allow for the targeted presentation of content or products.

The Application Server is 100% Java compliant and includes fault tolerance.

The Developer module provides a platform for Java developers to configure and deploy the Java components and Sevlets on the Application Server.
