Formerly known as Glides Inc, UniSoft's flagship offering is the UniSite Content Manager, a centralized, hosted offering that allows site contributors to access and change site content using only their Web browsers. Content editors utilize a graphical, browser based interface; and according to information provided by UniSite can be up and running with as little as two hours of online training.
According to information provided by UniSoft, a site can be converted and implemented within the UniSoft system in as little as two weeks. The conversion consists of the UniSoft content manager scanning the existing site, tagging data to be edited/managed, and storing it in the UniSoft database structure. UniSoft states that this process "... requires very little, if any, rewriting of your existing site."
Key features of the product include authentication and workflow; secure access through HTTPS/SSL; and an additional (and optional) Globalization Module that allows for the management of multi-language sites using the same management engine. The Globalization Module provides for a separate content database for each language; with the ability to automatically trigger language-specific workflows in the event that key site data changes. Though the UniSite Web site lists nightly backups as a feature of the product, it also states that only a 99.5% uptime guarantee is provided to subscribers.
UniSite Content Manager is available now. Initial setup pricing ranges from $15,000 - $30,000 (which includes the site scanning and parsing, user account setup, and a one-day training class) and the subscription-based license starts at $1,200/month and scales upwards to around $6,000/month.
